What we collect
- Your email address, to send sign-in codes and notices about your order.
- The recordings you upload and what we make from them: audio files, voice samples, the draft and the transcript, and the answers you give (hearing details, speaker names).
- Technical data: your IP address, which Cloudflare uses for the bot check and for limits on orders and code entry, and one cookie per order that keeps your browser signed in to it. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: processing your order, emailing you codes and notices, preventing abuse, and answering you. We don't sell or share it for advertising, and your recordings and transcripts are never used to train or tune any model.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare: the website's traffic, the bot check (Turnstile), storage of uploads, audio files and transcripts, job records, and forwarding of mail to support@darscribe.com.
- Modal: the servers that run the website and process recordings.
- Resend: sends our emails, so it receives your address and the message (a code or a notice, never a recording or transcript).
How long we keep it
- The DAR files you upload, the processed audio, voice samples and the draft: deleted when your transcript is delivered.
- The transcript and audio downloads: deleted 7 days after delivery, or earlier if you delete the audio from the order page. An order that never finishes is deleted 7 days after its last change.
- After that the order's record keeps only file fingerprints, the recording's length and dates: no audio, text, names or email address.
- Your email address and our approval decision stay on our list of approved customers, so later orders start at once, until you ask us to remove them.
- Cloudflare and Modal keep technical logs of web requests for a limited time under their own policies.
Your choices
To have your address removed from the approved list, or any other question about your data, write to support@darscribe.com. The security section describes the safeguards in more detail.
